Vanilla Chia Balls

These little delights are packed with protein, healthy fats and carbs making them the ultimate macro-friendly treat. Chia seeds are high in omega-3s which are super important for brain health and also have anti-inflammatory effects. They are not only nutritious and delicious but are also super satisfying and are the perfect snack in between meals. 

Ingredients:

Makes 8+ balls

1/4 cup almond butter/peanut butter

2 Tbs honey (optional)

2 Tbs melted coconut oil

1 cup rolled oats

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Pinch salt

2 Tbs chia seeds

 

Method:

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats, protein powder, salt and chia seeds

In a small pot over low heat add coconut oil, almond butter and honey and stir until coconut oil is melted and liquid runny

Pour over oat mixture and stir well

If mixture too runny then add more oats or protein powder and if too dry then add more melted coconut oil or honey

Form into balls and keep them in the fridge
