  Gluten free

   Sugar free

Looking for a simple and satisfying snack that is healthy and sweet with a hint of saltiness! :) Then this is the snack you have been waiting for! Banana Nut Butterz, so simple but the perfect combination of healthy carbs, fats and protein. Add a pinch of salt to the nut butter and you have a a salted caramel of sorts :)So tasty, and can be enjoyed as an afternoon snack or an after dinner sweet treat.

Bananas are high in vitamin B6 which can help boost progesterone which is important, especially if feeling anxious around your cycle, as progesterone has been known to have a calming effect on the body. Green bananas are also a great prebiotic food. Prebiotic foods are foods that can feed and promote the growth of the good gut bacteria. When ripe, a banana can also be a good remedy for an upset stomach.

I recommend adding some nut butter to your bananas to slow the absorption of sugars especially if suffering from adrenal stress and imbalanced blood sugar levels.

1 banana

1 mini-pack (32g) nut butter or 1 Tbs nut butter of choice (I used ButtaNutt Macadamia Almond Squeeze Pack)

Pinch sea salt

Pinch cinnamon (optional)

Slice your banana in chunks and place on plate

Drizzle each piece with nut butter

Sprinkle on a pinch of salt & cinnamon (optional)
